About a month ago I received an email from the very popular web-based daily food magazine The Kitchn about a Cookie Time Machine feature they are launching on December 3rd.
I had to know more!
They’ll be featuring cookies and recipes starting from the 1920’s to the present. I am so curious to see these recipes and bake along and I thought you might enjoy it too. Here’s an invitation and more information along with the link - it’s free to sign up and participate.
Note: I’m not affiliated with The Kitchn or any of their advertisers — I just think this sound like fun.

The first cookie lands in your inbox this Friday. 🍪

My fellow newsletter pal, Sarah Miller, writes the wonderful Can we read? a weekly review of children’s books, old and new.
Sarah’s beautifully written reviews are invaluable when looking for children’s book recommendations.
When I asked Sarah for a recommendation for a children’s baking book I could share with you, she graciously supplied one along with this photo and her review.

Thanks for another useful and interesting post, Jolene! I'm particularly interested in Sarah's suggestion of a Christmas cookie book for kids--just the gift I was looking for!
