Thank you so much, Julia! So funny, I just went back to your fruit cake post, I’m so intrigued by the pineapples on top (and, everything else!) would you mind if I linked to it (and you!) in one of my December posts?

I loved your essay! Every time I make soup, as I'm sautéing celery and onions, I am back in my childhood kitchen on Thanksgiving. My Mom also cooked the giblets for the stuffing. I felt like we were all safe and warm...wonderful memories! ❤️

Thank you, Pam! Yes! Giblets for the stuffing! And, Sausage! xx

This is such an amazing essay on so many levels, Jolene! You, like my husband, have so many great pictures to help tell your personal story, along with your exquisite prose. I love the connection with one of my favorite and much-missed shows, "Mad Men," and a beloved song from Joni Mitchell. You have a magical way of putting it all together in stories that strike just the right chord in our memories and our hearts. SO well done. Wishing you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving.🥰
