Beautiful post, Jolene. I love how the whole family is into food and all of you share it. Very generous, just like a serving of that glögg.

Thank you, Janet!

Wouldn't the HEAT drive off the alcohol molecules ? High school science was CENTURIES AGO, or so it seems !

I'm going to ask the OBVIOUS - Have you ever done a recipe book or a column ?

The art in Sellmer’s Advent calendar reminds me of drawings in many older (1940’s 1950’s ?) children’s books. Colorful, soft, cozy.

I agree, very beautiful. This calendar was designed in 1946 🎄✨

I have never had Glogg, but I was talking with a friend earlier today who is going to a Glogg party tonight, an annual event at the home of her Danish neighbors! It sounds very festive and fun. The chocolate slices look wonderful, and I, too, love the tablecloth. What a treasure!🎄

Very festive drink for the holidays, Pam! 🎄

This probably says more about my family than your marvelous recipe--we made it for one Christmas, everyone was drunk by 2nd round. I think my sister added aquavit liquor.

Even though it’s really too warm here for Glogg, it really is very tempting. It smells and tastes just like Christmas.

That is the perfect description, Julia!

I can just taste that Glögg, Jolene! It sounds just perfect to sip with those beautiful cookies when the weather gets cold and dark (which actually happened here in SoCal this week!) So many great recipes to try, I don't know where to start. Thanks again for sharing so very much.🤗💕

When I visited Sweden I stayed with a farmer and his family in Gnarp, which is Northeast of Stockholm. They made an alcoholic drink they called yesning and another whose name I don't remember or care to. It was so harsh that it came up as fast as you could drink it down. The stuff I drank made white lightning seem like 20 year old scotch.
