I’ll be watching the coverage along with you and hoping for the best for our nation and for all of us. Oh, and I’ll be eating a butter burger while I do! My husband used to run a national kid reporter program, and they covered the elections, so my husband has been to a few conventions ... he was at the infamous RNC where Clint Eastwood spoke to a chair!!!! Truly surreal experiences, though I think the "fashion" has gotten less interesting.
The convention restaurant history is *fascinating.* Though I’m still stuck on the Macarena gif and the Malört reference! 😂 I know it’s not the original, but I’m really craving a butter burger and frozen custard from Culver’s after reading this edition…
I had no idea that these were such huge events - 20,000 media is mind boggling! I’ll view the coverage from an entirely different perspective now I know more!
And who could ever forget the unbelievable Nixon campaign slogan: "They Can't Lick Our Dick"!
