How nice to find a surprise and some history at every door of this beautiful little calendar! I loved this cookie and the cute ornament your mother gave you when I first encountered them in that earlier post. I think this cookie would be right at home on a Hanukkah cookie plate too! Oh, you are making me so nostalgic. It's a busy time, and I've sworn off all this, but, oh, my, do I miss my mother and my childhood just seeing the cookies and decorations. It was by far my favorite time of the year. Thank you for taking me back!
