This sounds delicious. I'm taking dessert for a dinner party on Saturday and have been asked to bring something chocolate. This might be just the thing! Thanks, Jolene. 💜
Regarding Fika, my friend Anna wrote a book on it - and also has a free foldout 'zine that you can print out for reference: https://annabrones.com/tag/fika/
I made this cake the other night and my whole family loved it. I'm not usually a fan of cocoa cakes, preferring melted chocolate, but this was so delicious and light. I think the melted butter and the thinness made all the difference. Will definitely be making this again. Thanks for the recipe, Jolene!

Morning, Jolene. Got my ingredients lined up and oven preheating! I don't have a springform and my cake pan is 9" - hoping that works.
Amazing cake and story, as usual! This one sounds like a winner for all of us chocolate lovers! I can't wait to give it a try.
Jolene, this looks absolutely decadent! And yet so simple. Humans are so inventive in times of struggle. How we adapt and create is everything!
Jolene, absolutely love the images of your kitchen. As a chef, it would be a dream to bake at your stove.
We haven't connected yet, as busy lives always move at speeds too fast for tea and cake. Your platform slows all that down. Thanks.
I need to send you some images of my great-grandma's recipes books...

Sorry, no coffee for me, I'm a tea addict. But the cake looks molto buono
Who knew? Love this, as usual.
