Cheers, Bailey! 🥂 What a great name for a newsletter. It’s a nice drink and simple to make - plus it’s always fun to use a cocktail shaker! Have a great weekend!
Jolene, I've made this cake twice already and my family loves it! The second time I added 2 tablespoons of fresh grated ginger and topped it with a lemon glaze. Both were wonderful. A new classic. Thank you ❤️
I take it that "scant" means to go on the light side of the measurement? I don't think I've seen that before (love that old cookbooks have this human quality!) And I LOVE the repeal day celebratory piece--I am going to do this! Thank you, always.
So excited to discover another rugelach recipe and blogger—plus a great Irma holiday cake and a cocktail tied to a historic day when it was safe to drink in public again. Wow!
Hi, Mia, nice to meet you, I just signed up for your newsletter, wonderful! I agree- this cake is fantastic. Are the instructions different in the 1952 edition?
I love the repeal day reminder! My old newsletter was called the Bees Knees. Going to have to whip this drink up

Yes! Exactly! As in ‘just barely’.
Happy Repeal Day! (We will celebrate with Egg Nog Tuesday!) Have a great weekend, Alison 🥂
Ah, you have reminded me it IS Friday! Yes, happy weekend!
I had the same question!
‘Just barely’ not ‘heaping’, Hi, Leigh!

Hi, Ruth! Thank you! Rachel’s newsletter is terrific, the Irma cake is so good, and the cocktail is aptly named 🐝 😂
I have a 1952 imprint of the book which also includes this recipe. Every time I cook from it, I’m impressed.

Materially the same, but formatted differently. I'll email you a photo :)
Thanks, Mia!
The cocktail goes with your bodily embellishment. 🐝
Ha! Hi, Katie! I should hold the cocktail so my wrist 🐝 is in it!
