I love this one, Jolene! I learn so much from you. And by the way, we live in Valatie, which started the Christmas Club and was the home of the girl who wrote the famous letter asking if Santa Claus was real. https://www.valatiesantaclausclub.com/history
What a wonderful post! I really like the old Lucky Strike ad. My dad smoked Lucky Strike when I was a kid. Kept a pack rolled up in the sleeve of his shirt. Christmas just isn’t like it use to with all the push and pull over it. Oh for the good old days…
Just when I think your newsletter can’t get more delightful… That photo of you with Santa is a gem. That tablecloth is a gem! *You’re* a gem.
You are! 💎 Thank you, Sarah!
I heartily agree! And you do look both adorable and skeptical in that sweet photo.
Thank you, Joan!
Great story, Jolene. More of this, please! The smoking Santa is also a keeper. It shows how evil advertising can be.

Thank you, Jamie! This is so great, looking at the link now ❤️
Such great stories well told with documentary pictures to boot! As Sarah said, this is another gem of a post!
Thank you, Ruth! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Thanks, Jolene! We did! Hope you did too!
Fantastic ... you have a gift; made my day.
Thank you ... Happy Holidays
You are the best, Eddie ❤️
