The simple things. Perfect. Powdered sugar is so underrated. And a hot cart coffee ☕ never fails. You'll be happy to know that the deli on my corner still pours fresh hot coffee into the classic blue Greek Diner paper cups!!
Another excellent post packed with interesting history and great photos, Jolene! The best donuts I ever ate were when I was living in Cambridge, MA a long time ago. A little (donut) hole in the wall served them straight out of the oil! However, I welcome the idea of a baked donut. Yours look divine and the recipe relatively easy. Don't have a pan, however. Might have to order one. Any suggestions?
Thank you, Ruth! I got a twin pack online from Wilton for under $20, I know Nordic Ware has them, too and I saw some Michael’s. They come in different sizes so you can make mini’s, too. The Wilton worked well, just use a little cooking spray on the pans. I love a good fried doughnut, too, hot out of the oil! But these were a breeze for making at home. Let me know how it goes! :)

Have a cup for me 😉

Thanks so much for the additional info, Jolene! The Wilton pans sound perfect. Can’t wait to give this a go. Will let you know how it comes out.
The coffee cup is perfect!
Thanks, Leigh, it was such a sweet gift and I use it all the time :)
Thanks, Amy! I used a doughnut pan from Wilton (twin pack under $20) and you just spoon the batter into the pan - and bake! :)
Let me know how it goes!
